Oral Presentation Guidelines
Uploading your presentation
If you are to be giving an oral presentation, please upload your slides at least 1 refreshment break ahead of your session, or as soon as possible. The AECC use Microsoft Windows therefore please ensure your presentation is compatible and check it in advance.
For those speaking during the Monday boaster session running from 4pm (short papers and demo authors), you should receive an email from either Ismail Sengor Altingovde or Dyaa Albakour advising how to upload presentations in advance to google drive by Friday 31st March 2017. No changes can be made after this date however any slight amendments could possibly get changed at the venue on the day.
Naming your presentation
Please name your presentation [day, session, surname]. All speakers will talk from the front of the Fleming Auditorium. AV support will be available at the back of the room. You will be provided with a remote mouse, comfort screen and a microphone. For those speaking at the Boaster Session, the microphone at the lectern will be used only. We would ask all speakers to sit in order, within the first few rows of seats in the Fleming Auditorium and await your turn to present.
If you plan to bring along your own electronic device, please ensure it is fully charged as there will be limited charging stations at the venue. Please visually inspect any phones, laptops and chargers to make sure there is no damage or exposed wires on the cables and plugs as this would pose health and safety issues for the venue and they may need to ask that they are not used.
